Fready Cougar, preparing for the first two-year-old race of the new season at Wanganui next Saturday, was an easy winner of his 400-metre heat at today’s Hastings jumpouts while Hawke’s Bay Cat recorded the quickest time among the 750-metre heats with a strong win.
A very quick 1000-metre gallop by My Astron and solid workouts from Tom Sawyer and Our Destiny were among the highlights at this morning’s Hastings track session.
A good hit out by Woodville visitor Eileen Dubh and an excellent 800-metre gallop by Jimmy Choux were the highlights at this morning’s Hastings track session.
A strong solo workout by D’Goldie and a quick 800-metre gallop by an Align three-year-old filly were the highlights at this morning’s Hastings track session.
A fast gallop by the John Bary trained pair of Party Horse and Enufisenuf and a good solo workout by Our Destiny were the highlights at this morning’s Hastings track session.
Waipukurau visitor Sanriba turned in by far the quickest gallop at this morning’s Hastings track session, clocking just over a minute for a solo 1000-metre workout.

Racing: Baltica
Baltica, a descendant of champion racemare Horlicks, turned in one of the best gallops at this morning’s Hastings track session when working over 800 metres with stablemate My Guy.
There was very little in the way of fast work at this morning’s Hastings track session, with several horses from the area down to start at the Foxton meeting later in the day.
Red Rhapsody, who is down to make his race debut at Foxton on Thursday, recorded the fastest time in a reasonably quiet track session at Hastings this morning.
