Building on the success of the 2009 Springs Promise Fashion Parade, style, glamour and leading spring fashion will be once again be showcased in a fashion extravaganza at the Hawke’s Bay Opera House on Thursday 2nd September.

Inspired by the theme of spring we invite you to come on join us and enjoy Hawke’s Bays premiere fashion show. The spectacular show will impress Hawke’s Bay fashionistas, showcasing the creativity and glamour of leading fashion labels and Hawke’s Bays up-and-coming designers in the dramatic and theatrical setting of the Hawke’s Bay Opera House.

The FRIZZELL Wines Alice in Wonderland Fashion Parade is the official fashion show of the Hawke’s Bay Spring Racing Carnival and will inspire your fashion for a day at the races or your outfit for the Hunt and Seek Fashion in the Field competition on Spring Classic Raceday.

From the designer collections and trends on the catwalk at the FRIZZELL Wines Alice in Wonderland Fashion Parade to the Hunt and Seek Fashion on the Spring Classic Raceday, the Hawke’s Bay Spring Racing Carnival has all the fashion action on and off the track.

The FRIZZELL Wines Alice in Wonderland Fashion Parade promises to be a sell-out success. So be sure to secure your tickets early for what promises to be an exciting and inspiring fashion show.

This day is all about the fairer sex. With beautiful stalls offering some quintessential 'girlie stuff', catwalk shows premiering the latest seasons fashion, goodie bags, lots of giveaways and live music it will be a wonderful day to get the girls together and enjoy a day out. This 'must do' event is being held on 18 September 2010 in conjunction with the Windsor Park Plate Premier Raceday.

...why not grab a mini marquee for the day and spend it in style!  This fantastic day out won’t break the bank with mini marquees on offer at only $350 for ten guests (for the mathematically challenged that’s only $35 per person!).  This includes entry to course, race books, pens, superb trackside location and reserved seating in your own private 3x3m marquee. 

So get the girls together come and enjoy live music, with a glass of wine, watch the fashion parades and browse the beautiful stalls.

This is a superb day for companies to bring their staff or valued clients for an exciting and unique Christmas Function.

This year Christmas at the Races is being hosted at the gorgeous Waipukurau Racecourse on Sunday 5th December. 

Groups of any size can be accommodated in a tailor made marquee on the lawn. With a variety of menus, bar options and entertainment available you would be best to give Mel a call and let her know your 'wish list'!

An absolute Hawke's Bay tradition! Plan a relaxed day on the lawn with a picnic and the family enjoying the sunshine and some great excitement on track. This day has a huge family focus with lots of free activities to keep the little ones entertained. Racing usually starts at approximately midday through to 5.30pm. You are most welcome to bring in a small amount of alcohol on this day. 

The annual Hunt & Seek Fashion in the Field will be held as part of the Spring Classic Premier Raceday on Saturday 2 October 2010. 

Category Descriptions

Contemporary Ladies Fashion

Ladies let us see your take on this seasons trends styled for the races. This category is always eye-catching and unique. Judges will be awarding extra credit for flair and creativity!

Classic Mens Race Wear

Gents, it is time to take the spotlight.  With a stylish suit, a dash of colour and a whole lot of personality you might be just what the judges ordered!  We would love to see some imagination and hats on gents is always a winner!

Classic Ladies Race Wear

This category is renowned for its style, elegance and sophistication.  Judges will be looking for a tailored ensemble with coordinating accessories – a hat or fascinator is a must!

Creative Designers

The ensemble must have been “created” not manufactured…Traditional or WOW judges look forward to seeing the works of the next generation of New Zealand fashion designers!

A prize is also awarded for the Judges Favourite (a little something special that catches the Judges eye).

Entry into the event is $15 and is payable upon registering on the day.   Those that enter prior to the day will receive a complimentary glass of wine in the fashion village - click here to down load the entry form!

The overall winner at Hawke's Bay will be automatically entered (if they wish) to the New Zealand Fashion in Field at Ellerslie in March 2011.  This package includes accommodation and travel vouchers as well as complimentary hospitality on the raceday...
