TRACKWORK | 16 APR 2024

A dense blanket of fog covered the Hastings track for most of this morning’s trackwork session, preventing the timing of most fast work.

There was very little in the way of fast work at this morning’s Hastings trackwork session with a number of horses from the centre heading to the Waipukurau jumpouts on Wednesday.

Rosalita was one horse timed and she worked easily over 800m on the plough in 56.7, the last 600 in 41.8. The Tivaci three-year-old filly was a good last start third over 1300m at Tauherenikau and will now head to Otaki on Thursday next week for a maiden 1400m race.

A Darci Brahma two-year-old filly trained by Richard McKenzie and Jordan Bassett worked in at three-quarter pace from the 800m in 57.4, quickening slightly over the last 600 in 42.4.

Two Time Test two-year-old fillies also worked in from the 800m peg and ran home the last 600 in 42.7.
